OFFICIAL NAME OF SNACK:
Sno-Caps

PRICE: $.99

WEIGHT: 2.3 oz.

DESCRIPTION OF SNACK:
Delicious bite-sized morsels of creamy, smooth Nestle chocolate, covered with crunchy candy sprinkles.

SNACK LOOKS LIKE:
Smooshed hershey kisses with white polka-dots.

SSI RATING (SNACK SATISFACTION INDEX - 1-10): 6.5

UPSIDE:

Sno-Caps are a good blend of semi-sweet dark chocolate (which I normally don't like) and sugar coating. They are both sweet and chocolatey but not too much of either. A unique taste. They are chewable and don't melt too quickly.

DOWNSIDE:

Although they claim to be the perfect size to pop in your mouth, I found them a little small. You need to pour the candies into your hand -- making this a two-handed snack and also a noisy one. It is quite difficult to do other tasks while your are snacking or to be discrete.

1ST 4 INGREDIENTS:

Semi-Sweet Chocolate (Sugar, Chocolate and Cocoa Butter, milkfat, soy lechithin-an emulsifer, vanillin-an artificial flavoring and natural flavoring)

REMAINING INGREDIENTS:

Sugar
Cornstarch
Peanuts (who knew!)

PACKAGING:

Same one they must have had since the candy was invented. The snow on the Sno-Caps logo is cute but the rest of the package can use some updating. The box makes snacks look tired and heavy drawing more attention to the 13 grams of fat.

DO I RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS YOURSELF? (YES/NO - EXPLAIN):

Yes. Sno-caps are quite delicious, long a favorite of movie-goers, because they provide a unique taste combination.

HOW CAN THIS PRODUCT BE IMPROVED?

Make the individual pieces bigger, not only will the convenience factor improve but you will be able to savor the combination of semi-sweet chocolate and pure sugar sprinkles.

Is it possible to spell Sno-Caps with the candy pieces?

Yes.

Would New York City Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, ban them? And why?

Yes. Sno-caps, due to the noise incurred from eating them, are in complete violation of the quality of life codes.

What fast-food chain should add Sno-Caps to their menu?

Tie.

Roy Rogers: Sno-caps would fit in nicely on the fixins' bar and would complement both burgers and chicken as a dessert.
Pizza Hut: if people put pineapples on their pizza can semi-sweet morsels be far behind?

Can Sno-Caps make a cheesier commercial than Old Navy?

Yes. Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder singing Ebony and Ivory at pianos that face each other, (Paul's would be black, Stevie's would be white) located at the top of a ski slope. A huge brandy glass sits in between both pianos filled with sno-caps. It is snowing. Happy, well-adjusted people ski by and stop for a glass of sno-caps.

How many sprinkles are on a sno-cap?

On average, 111.
