OFFICIAL NAME OF SNACK:
Junior Mints

PRICE: $.55

WEIGHT: 1.84 oz.

DESCRIPTION OF SNACK:
"Creamy mints in PURE chocolate"

SNACK LOOKS LIKE:
The buttons of the wool blazer you wore when you were 17 years old. slightly "cracked" outer shell, otherwise very smooth.

SSI RATING (SNACK SATISFACTION INDEX - 1-10): 4

UPSIDE:

Nice acceptable minty flavor, super sweet. Chocolate coating dissolves quickly enabling you to get the minty flavor right off the bat.

DOWNSIDE:

Too soft. Unlike Peppermint patties, you don't have enough time to enjoy the chocolate before you get to the mint. The saliva in your mouth immediately dissolves the chocolate and in a matter of seconds you have a
spot of minty goo in your mouth. Also the sweetness factor is way too intense. I got a "sick" feeling in my gut after downing the box, but that could be because it's 8:45 AM.

1ST 4 INGREDIENTS:

Sugar
Semi-sweet chocolate
Corn syrup
Confectioners glaze

LAST 4 INGREDIENTS:

Peppermint oil
Invertase
Soya albumin
Gelatin

PACKAGING:

Classic, Just like when we were kids, but the candy HAS changed. Huge banner on outside of box says 15% MORE FREE, this made me try it.

DO I RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS YOURSELF? (YES/NO - EXPLAIN):

Yes, at least to verify my complaints. If there were a bunch of mini-peppermint pattys in here i'd be more satisfied.

HOW CAN THIS PRODUCT BE IMPROVED?

Delay the gratification of the mint-taste just a little longer. Make the candies harder, and perhaps it would be better to make the mint flavor a little lss intense. It's not a "cool" minty taste, it's more of a "super sweet" mint. Like a mint julip as opposed to a hall's Menthol cough drop.

IN THREE WORDS OR LESS, SUMMARIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE:

Needs some improvement.
