Reviewed By: Snack-A-Doodle-Do LOCATION: KCafe at Kmart, NYC OFFICIAL NAME OF SNACK: ICEE PRICE: $1.29 WEIGHT: 32 oz. DESCRIPTION OF SNACK: A frozen cherry beverage, much like a Slurpee. SNACK LOOKS LIKE: Whipped and creamy red jell-o in a paper cup with an astronaut helmet. SSI RATING (SNACK SATISFACTION INDEX - 1-10): 9.3 UPSIDE: ICEEs are delicious. A great frozen drink, they are very smooth and the flavor lasts until the very last sip. Truly refreshing. It's like a liquid dose of sugar. DOWNSIDE: It's very difficult to find a store or movie theatre that carries ICEEs. And when you do, sometimes the ICEE machine is broken. Also, in New York City only Cherry and Coke flavors are available.

PACKAGING:

A polar bear drinking an ICEE and ice-surfing adorns the paper cup. A clear bubble cap allows for viewing of the snack.

DO I RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS YOURSELF? (YES/NO - EXPLAIN):

Yes. ICEE's are cool and refreshing and they make you feel like a kid again. And they turn your lips bright red.

HOW THE PRODUCT CAN BE IMPROVED:

Greater availability. Did somebody say McICEE?

WHAT CAUSES A BRAIN FREEZE?

A "Brain Freeze" is a physiological response to the extreme cold hitting the back of the palate. Because the palate is close to the meninges in the brain, the result is a headache. To avoid getting a "Brain Freeze" drink slowly and try not to let the ICEE directly hit the back of your throat.

WHICH POLITICAL CANDIDATE WOULD DECLINE TO COMMENT ON ICEE?

George W. Bush. Although he'd admit to not consuming the Coke ICEE during his father's administration.
